Top 10 material?

High

Mesmerizing, definite top 10 material, excellent updated shoegaze were some of the many phrases/adjectives people were saying about UK mastermind James Chapman, a.k.a Maps before I gave his record, ‘We Can Create’ a spin. Man, was this ever something written for my tastes. All tracks are layered in heavy keyboard and synth sounds that create an atmospheric sound with Chapman’s lush vocals sounding so pristine over each layer of spacey goodness. Highly recommended. Give it another spin if you already have.

If you had to make a top 10 list of 2007 albums right now, this one would be #1, right? You’ve been moved by this album since you first listened. Great post.

When I was searching this week for potential shows to see in the UK next month, I noticed that he’s playing the day before I get into London. He has no other scheduled dates after. Damn.
