The only thing I’m overpowered with is the plethora of music 2008 is producing and the immediacy these file-hosting sites provide. With so many digital files and a lack of organization, I simply forget about quality singles acquired months ago. (Last year for this cut) It’s like I can barely keep up, but thanks to shuffle, MiS is getting poppy yet again; this time, with a tinge of disco and house over vocals a la Madona and Annie Lennox, perhaps. The Knife could have possibly churned out Roisin Murphy’s ’07 lead single, “Overpowered” that appeared on last year’s LP of the same name. Bouncy enough for the club, yet poppy enough to receive another comment about my all of a sudden pop tendencies.
Fun disco beats. I dig it. These songs (Overwhelmed and the others streaming on her Myspace page) remind me of the music blasting in a lot of the stores when we were in London last year.
