If that picture doesn’t excite you enough to continue reading, then know this: Spoon released a maxi-single with five remixes and a b-side entitled, “All I Got Is Me”. The single, “Don’t You Evah” was first seen on last year’s LP Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. Give a listen to the b-side below and get your fix of the goodness here.
An interesting mix of people contributed to the remixes: Diplo, Matthew Dear, DJ Amaze, Ted Leo, and Doc Delay. (Ted’s is the only one I’d care about if I were you.)
perfect timing dave. i was just reading the new issue of under the radar and i saw this cover in an ad–i was really confused as to what it was…now I know! i’ve been listening quite a bit to the last full-length.
Interesting. Between all of these ‘celebrity’ remixes, I’m waiting for the MiS remix to appear. Get to work, son!
Singles have taken over the concept of a full-length album. Is the maxi-single (with various remixes) the future? This trend isn’t new to hip hop and dance (electro) by any means, but it is a little refreshing to see it enter into the pop atmosphere even if some of the new arrangements pale in comparison to the original.
